My thoughts on Adopting old dogs….
My thoughts on adopting dogs are wide range. I love all dogs and especially old dogs. My step mom Linda found a 10 year old Spaniel mix walking down Telegraph in 2005 and took her home. She had no tags and could not find the owners. I asked if I can keep her if she has no luck on finding her owners. They finally let me have the little angel. I We also found that adopting a puppy at the time we rescued Precious really gave her something to keep her young. She raised this puppy like it was her own. Having 2 dogs is so important because they learn from each other and keep each other company. This puppy has made my old dog act like a puppy again.
My goal now is to spread my story to people that are going to rescue a dog. I want them to know that an old dogs can be around a long time if they have the right care and love. Don't be afraid to rescue them too. I've explored many subjects from all the things I experience from having her. This dog has changed my life and getting a yellow lab puppy named Tequilla that is now 8 years old, has added so much fun for our home.

Why I started Lollipupgirl Dog Blogs…
When I was 7 years old I was mauled in the face by a black labrador. The dog was always tied to a tree and neglected. One morning I rode to my grandfather's house on my bike and went over to the dog because some little boys were chasing me when the dog attacked. That very day I was taken away by ambulance and had emergency reconstruction surgery to my face and mouth.
When I asked what happen to the dog they told me they had to put it to sleep. I was devastated for years that it was because of me getting mauled that the dog died. Since that traumatic experience, I have been on a mission to help dogs get the care they deserve to prevent these things from happening to others. I am trying to prevent any more dogs from living this life and turning to violence because of it.
I also wanted to create a way to help all dog rescues, veterinarians, dog daycares, pet stores, and anyone linked to helping dogs in anyway get the attention and help they need. I am a huge fan of Troy dogs meetup group for all dog owners to get together and do fun dog events to get their dogs socialized.
My goal with this blog...
I hope my dog blog helps dogs plus their owners and helps local dog related business get attention they need. So remember to adopt rescue dogs, do your homework on their breed and then their dog food and treats, socialize your dog too. These are the keys to a happy long life for you and your furry family members. I hope this blog covers all of those areas for you!

Get your dog scocialized it's important! Don't rescue an unsocial dog then not socialize it! It makes them worse....

About Lollypupgirl
A girl on a mission to help Michigan dogs and dog owners. I am a artist and creator. I am following my passions and combining them all together to make fun artwork and dog blogs.
Lollypupgirl Dog Blog is useful because...
It helps dog lovers to connect with other dog lovers. We can help each other learn all we can on how to keep our dogs healthy, happy and well balanced. Every day I get asked questions on health tips, fun dog events, recalls and more. So I created this website to keep everyone updated on what I learn.
We Can Learn A lot From Dogs
Dogs don't obsess over the future.
They always live in the moment and
they never pass criticisms.
My Goal
My goal is to do my best at helping people who help dogs get attention. What would the world be like for us all if there weren't people like them out there trying to make a difference. We need groomers, veterinarians, daycares, dog parks, pet stores, trainers, and even dog blogs. Help the local people who are helping make the world a better place for us and our dogs to stay in business.
So let's start now by checking in on what is going on around town. Click on my links and shop in the stores I listed. Try our local veterinarians, dog bakeries, dog parks and donate to the shelters on my home page. Email me with any dogs in need of a home to post on this site with all their information. All these things we do make a difference! I will leave a new blog weekly on things we all want to know about. I do not like posting sad or negative stories unless they are important for us to know. (we don't need to focus our energy on dogs getting in trouble simply because they have been raised wrong, neglected or came from bad situations). The more we leave blogs to each other on tips and latest news the more this site will help everyone out!
Check out all the links above and leave comments! I appreciate you for visiting Lollypupgirl Dog Blogs, linked with the Macomb Daily and Oakland Press online newspapers for the help of local dog businesses getting attention they need.
My dog Tequilla
Tequilla is a Dudley Lab.
Here is a link I posted to find out what a Dudley lab is and what makes her look so different than most labs. This is a very interesting article. Not too many people know what a Dudley Lab is. Notice her yellow eyes and her pink nose. That is unusual for a yellow lab. This is what makes her a Dudley.

Where did we get Tequilla?
My husband was attending a dinner party for work. The party was hosted at a place called Ducks Unlimited in Gross Point Michigan. He was simply going to dinner and couldn't keep his eyes off this little puppy being auctioned off by the hunters. She stood out from the rest of the puppies due to her unique colors. He wasn't really planning on getting a puppy until he saw her. He couldn't resist the temptation and took her home.
This was in 2006, I believe he was meant to take her home. He was in the right place at the right time and we can't imagine our lives without her. In our eyes this was considered rescuing because she was being sold at 5 weeks old. To me that is neglect on the breeders part for taking puppies from their mother 3 weeks early to make it to this event. Yes we paid money for her but we look at it like we paid to rescue her from this situation. Sometimes purchasing a puppy from a breeder in a situation like this is a rescue situation. I am pretty sure her life would not have been so elegant if she wasn't taken away and brought to us that very night.
